Setting attainable goals

This is exactly how I'd like to look everyday.   This is just the right amount of jewelry for me.   Not too much, not to little-- just right.

The only problem this would present is the about the worst detangling nightmare I could possibly imagine.    Forget safety pins people... this would definitely take a chainsaw.

However, it would still be worth it.

There's *someone* for everyone

I love weird news and this headline definitely takes the wedding cake.  I'll skip to the point  here:  this dude married a pillow.   I'm serious.   He's apparently serious.  I'm seriously laughing.

Wonder where they registered?  Bed Bath and Beyond?   Ha!

Happy Friday.

Effortless Chic of the Day

The Agony and the Ecstacy

... of drinking champagne.   And going out for practically one week straight.   Maybe more.   My online bank statement is hilarious and moderately terrifying.   However, a friend just forwarded me this article and I'm hoping it's 100% true.   I'm also 100% going to the gym tomorrow morning.   And again in the afternoon.

So, let's recap.  What did you think about the Oscars?  Honestly, I wasn't that impressed.   I usually love blogging about the red carpet, but I really wasn't feeling it.  What did you think?  My favorite of the night was definitely Maggie Gyllenhaal and that super sick bracelet.

A close second was Kate Bosworth.   This dress may be the most beautiful shade of red I've ever seen.

Third fav?  Yeah, I'll admit it.  Miley Cyrus.  I loved her dress, hair, the whole thing.  I really hope she can hang in there and not go all Britney-crazy before she puts out a few more "Party in the USA"-esque gems.

In other news, my "fashion friend" is busy in Paris and texted me this photo from the Chanel show today.

It looks like "The Situation" and Pauly D took a wrong turn and ended up in on the Arctic Shore.   If a guy walked up to me in a bar wearing this get-up I'd pee in my pants.  Straight up.

What did you think of the Oscars?   What do you think about dudes dressed at Chewey?

On this day in 2004...

I feel like a total Uncle Rico when I hear this song, as I would love to go back to 2004 when this song was #1 on the charts (today, actually).   I seem to recall the "Yeah"-era being a really good time in my life.

Do you feel that way about certain songs?  I have a similar affinity for Nelly's "Country Grammar."

Pandora Station du Jour

I really should be titling this post "Grooveshark Jam of the Day."   Have you tried this site yet?

While we're on the topic of music, I might as well mention my latest shameless iTunes purchase.  RiRi is not being very subtle here, that's for sure.  This also gets an A+ in the ultimate boyfriend revenge playbook.

Effortless Chic of the Day

Love the neutral jacket and the denim mix.  Mixing denim is really a skill few possess.

Have I mentioned how happy I am that it's March???

Desert, Camels, Jewelry

I wonder if I could successfully pitch "Dubai Shore" or "Gulf of Oman Shore" to MTV?   Desert, camels jewelry doesn't quite add up to ratings gold as Jersey Shore's GTL, but hey, I'd be happy to ship off to the desert for half of Snooki's salary.    Seriously.

Red lip perfection.

Grooveshark = Pandora 2.0 x 1000

Friends.

I made a huge discovery last Friday afternoon.   Grooveshark.  Have you heard of this?  Am I the last to know?  You know I love Pandora for music, but this is taking it to another level.   It's simply amazing.   For example, I have found the most amazing mash-up of Phil Collins' "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" mixed with Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a Place on Earth."

Umm, excuse me.  Am I dead?   I think I'm officially in heaven.   If you search for it, it's on the "Mash-up Your Bootz Party" remix album.   Don't miss the Rihanna-Vampire Weekend mash-up while you're listening...

The Trip

Home... and this snow in Charlottesville is killing me!  I'm ready to go back.

I need another day before I can really post about the trip, but it was incredible.

Here are a few more shots... in no particular order:
