Catching up

It's been awhile since my last post... just got back from a fabulous weekend in Charleston, SC with some of my favorite people on the planet. 20+ college friends reunited on Isle of Palms to celebrate our looming 30th birthdays with good company and a hardcore escape from reality. Thanks to champagne, Firefly, Goodwill costumes and delicious cheesy casseroles, we did just that-- in hilarious style.

Friends, I laughed all weekend and love you more than you know.

Bringing Sexy Back

This winter has been particularly depressing and cold. The economy is sucking, the war continues, people are falling apart, people are breaking up, friends are losing babies, friends are losing jobs, I'm rounding the final turn towards my 30th birthday, Chris Brown is beating up Rihanna...

So when my friend Chris announced over sushi a couple weeks ago that she was growing a rat tail... yes friends, a RAT TAIL... I didn't know whether to pee in my pants or kiss her on the mouth or both. I managed to do neither, but her selfless act of hair growth has single-handedly brought me out of the winter nose dive.

Stay tuned for shots of the real rat in the wild. For now, here's a little ray of sunshine...

I really don't think there is anything out there in TV Land that fills the void in my heart left by Sex and the City. I absolutely loved that show and still do... when I catch an old episode on TBS I feel like I've run into an old, wonderful friend who makes me want to cast of my everyday flats for a pair of fabulous heels. It is no secret that I am J. Crew obsessed. One of the best parts about winter is opening a new J. Crew catalogue with the first glimpse of spring clothing.
