The Trip

Home... and this snow in Charlottesville is killing me!  I'm ready to go back.

I need another day before I can really post about the trip, but it was incredible.

Here are a few more shots... in no particular order:

Gilt-free Travel

Did everyone just get this email from Gilt Groupe?

I know we're all about fall shopping right now, but Jetsetter looks awesome. Is impulse travel more thrilling than impulse shopping on Gilt? We'll have to find out.

Oh the places you'll go

I was in DC a couple weeks ago and attended a fun cocktail party hosted by fellow blogger, author of the fab travel site Playgrounds & Pastimes.

A Marrakesh Moment

My very good friend and expert on all things Moroccan forwarded me a link to new ‘Marrakesh-inspired’ look book on shopbop. I’m totally in exotic vacation mode, and few of these items would definitely make me jet-set ready:

Henna Fade Scarf

Kenneth Jay Lane Black Earrings 2

Summer Destination ‘09… Croatia?

Reading today’s post on All the Best about planning a Grecian paradise vacation got me thinking about my own summer travel plans. Last July, 6 college friends and I spent two amazing weeks in Turkey attending a wedding in Istanbul, visiting ancient ruins as we traveled down the coast and charting our own odyssey as we sailed the Aegean. In a word, it was surreal.

In an effort to start making trips like this a yearly trend, I’ve started researching new destinations for our crew. Lately I’ve been hearing amazing things about Croatia. Here’s a glimpse:

Croatia 2

Umm, yes please!

Has anyone ever been to Croatia? Any travel recommendations?

Had to share… from my trip to Turkey last summer. Bathroom sign at Ephesus, Turkey. The “magic atmosphere”… epic.
